Set your Goals for the Future

When you have sharp, clearly defined goals, you can measure and take pride in the achievement of those goals. You can see forward progress in what might previously have seemed long pointless actions.

By setting goals, you as a student can:

•   improve performance;
•   increase motivation to achieve;
•   increase pride and satisfaction in performance and
•   improve self-confidence.

People who use goal-setting effectively:

•   suffer less from stress and anxiety;
•   concentrate better;
•   show more self-confidence;
•   perform better and
•   are happier with their performances.

Prepare for Graduation

Students plan their high school schedules based on core subjects plus a specialization related to career and educational goals.  Each specialization, or career pathway, includes courses to prepare students for post-high school education.  Whenever possible, students should investigate the requirements of any college they are considering and include those requirements in their program of study. Students should review their graduation plans annually with professional school counselors to make changes, additions and updates to align with the students' personal and professional goals.
