Portsmouth residents who have children in Grades K-12 attending non-public schools may request textbooks in mathematics, science, foreign language, history, and language arts. The link to the ordering site will be available on this page on June 1, 2013.

After July 1, 2013, the time has passed for the PSD to order your textbooks.  Approved textbooks can be located on the RIDE webpage.  CLICK HERE to determine if the textbook is eligible for reimbursement.

If the textbook is approved by RIDE and you have missed our deadline, please purchase your textbook from a textbook vendor.  We will reimburse you the lowest price listed from a textbook.  We do not reimburse for shipping and handling.  Suggested vendors are listed in the attachment below.  We expect reimbursement paperwork to be received in our district office by Monday, October 7, 2013.

If your child is accepted to a private school after July 1, 2013, please come to the Administration Building at 29 Middle Road, Portsmouth, RI, with your book list to see if we have any of the textbooks available on our shelves.  If we do not have your needed textbooks, then you will have to obtain textbooks yourself and bring your receipt for reimbursement to our office if the textbooks are on the list approved by the State Department of Education CLICK HERE.

Requested textbooks may be picked up at the Administrative Offices on Thursday, August 22, 2013, or on Friday, August 23, 2013, or Wednesday, August 23, 2012, between the hours of 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
